  OBSERVED BUTCHER BLOCK TABLE COVERED WITH STAINLESS STEEL THAT HAS HOLES IN THE TOP WHERE A
  PIECE OF EQUIPMENT WAS MOUNTED TO THE TABLE. REPAIR / COVER HOLES SO THAT THE TOP IS SMOOTH,
  NON-ABSORBENT AND EASILY CLEANABLE.
   
  3717-1-04 Equipment, Utensils, and Linens:  Materials for Construction and Repair
   
  (A)     Multiuse utensils and food contact surfaces - material characteristics.
   
       Materials that are used in the construction of utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment may not allow the
       migration of deleterious substances or impart colors, odors, or tastes to food and under normal use conditions
       shall be:
   
       (1)     Safe;
   
       (2)     Durable, corrosion-resistant, and nonabsorbent;
   
       (3)     Sufficient in weight and thickness to withstand repeated warewashing;
   
       (4)     Finished to have a smooth, easily cleanable surface; and
   
       (5)     Resistant to pitting, chipping, crazing, scratching, scoring, distortion, and decomposition.

  OBSERVED FRYERS THAT WERE IN DISREPAIR AND TEMPORARILY REPAIRED WITH DUCT TAPE. REMOVE FRYERS
  OR REPAIR ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS.
   
  REACH IN FREEZER WAS HOLDING @ 20F AND WAS FLASHING A TEMPERATURE OF 12F. THE FOOD INSIDE WAS
  STILL FROZEN. PERSON IN CHARGE AGREED TO MONITOR THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE FREEZER AND TO MOVE
  THE FOOD TO ANOTHER FREEZER / COOLER IF THE TEMPERATURE GOES ABOVE 41F. A REPAIRMAN WAS CALLED
  TO COME AND FIX THE FREEZER.

  (A)     Equipment -- good repair and proper adjustment.
   
       (1)     Equipment shall be maintained in a state of repair and condition that meets the requirements specified under
       rules 3717-1-04 and 3717-1-04.1 of the Administrative Code.
   
       (2)     Equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, fasteners, and kick plates shall be kept intact, tight, and
       adjusted in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.

  HAIR NETS ARE WORN TO RESTRAIN HAIR.
   
  OVERALL CLEANLINESS AND ORGANIZATION WERE GOOD.
   
  NOTE: THIS FACILITY WILL BE CLOSING AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE ABOVE LISTED EQUIPMENT
  SHOULD NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER SCHOOL KITCHENS UNLESS THEY ARE PROPERLY REPAIRED.
